JCPD BOLO: 5 men in white pickup; one with large knife/machete — Harrison Ave door-knocks (Sep 16)

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Jersey City police spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said the Jersey City Police Department issued a Be On The Lookout (BOLO) alert Wednesday morning, Sept. 30, 2026, asking residents to remain vigilant after suspicious activity near Harrison Avenue.

According to the Jersey City Police Department B.O.L.O. flyer and the department’s public tip lines:

• Five men were last seen in the area of Harrison Avenue operating a white pickup truck with an unknown license plate, make, and model.
• The men were observed knocking on doors on Sept. 16 at about 1:30 a.m.
• One man approached a residence carrying a large knife, possibly a machete or saw, while another remained outside the gate.
• After no one answered a knock, both males walked around the front of the home, appearing to look for other points of entry. A resident’s dog began barking, and the men fled.

Police asked the public to remain vigilant.
