UPDATED: Fatal Stabbing On Dewey Avenue In WNY, No Suspects

Photo Credit: Google Maps                                                                                                                                                                                                                          The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has released additional information after tweeting shortly before 8 o’clock this morning that their Homicide Unit and the West New York Police Department were responding to the fatal stabbing of an individual on Dewey Avenue.

According to Prosecutor Esther Suarez, at approximately 5:15 this morning, the West New York Police Department responded to the area of 6414 Dewey Avenue in West New York on a report of an injured male. The responding police officers found an unresponsive male victim at that location with an apparent stab wound to his upper torso.

The injured man has been identified as 25-year old William Chipix Simon of West New York. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 5:30 a.m. on February 6, 2022. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. No arrests have been made at this time.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the West New York Police Department.
