La ex estrella de la NBA entrega bolsas de libros a los niños de Union City

Former New Jersey Nets All-Star Jayson Williams teamed up with a local barber shop owner on Saturday afternoon to give out approximately one thousand book bags to Union City students.  The event, which took place for the first time in several years due to COVID, was held at Union City High School.

Williams, and his barber during his playing career, JB Rodriguez, the owner of Park Avenue Styles at 3403 Park Avenue, began the book bag giveaway several years ago.

In addition to handing out the book bags on Saturday, free haircuts will be offered to students this Monday, August 29 between 10 am and 7 pm.
