Guttenberg Man, 24, Allegedly Sexually Assaults 11-Year Old, Female Relative in Union City

Hudson TV has learned of another sickening, sexual assault by a man against a juvenile, female relative.  According to information received by Hudson TV, 24-year old, Guttenberg resident Hector Rosas is charged with three, criminal counts for allegedly assaulting an 11-year old girl in Union City on February 22, 2021.

Rosas is alleged to have touched the young girl’s genitalia, and forced her to sexually satisfy him by putting her hand inside of his pants.  He is also alleged to have exposed himself to the girl.  The three counts against Rosas are second, third and fourth degree crimes…sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and lewdness.

Rosas was arrested on March 1 after the Union City Police Department contacted the Special Victims Unit on February 26, on a report of sexual assault against an 11-year old female.

During an interview with SVU, the young girl stated the alleged sexual assault happened on February 22 in the Union City home the child and the defendant shared with her family.  The defendant committed the assault in his bedroom, telling the girl not to tell anyone.

Later that same day, the girl went to her mother’s place of employment, crying and scared.  She told her mother she did not want to go home because something had happened with Rosas.

Hudson TV could not determine when Rosas was due to appear in Central Judicial Processing Court in Jersey City.
