Hoboken Man Arrested For DWI & Other Charges

At 7:24 on Wednesday morning, 58-year old Hoboken resident Robert Johnston was involved in a motor vehicle accident at 700 Park Avenue in Hoboken.  According to Hoboken Police, Johnston appeared under the influence when officers arrived on the scene.

During their investigation police discovered a second, parked vehicle a block away which had been struck by another vehicle.  Johnston was ultimately arrested for driving under the influence and received a summons for leaving the scene of an accident for hitting the parked car.

No injuries were reported in either accident.

Johnston has also been charged with failing to exhibit a driver’s license or an insurance card.  He was released to a responsible adult later in the day.
