Hoboken Mourns the Sudden Death of Police Detective Mario Novo

Photo Credits:  Facebook                                                                                                                                                                                                                            The flags are at half staff this morning in Hoboken, as the City and Police Department are in mourning following the unexpected passing of veteran, Police Detective Mario Novo.  No cause has been given for his sudden death.

A nearly twenty year member of the Hoboken Police force, Novo was remembered by Hudson County Commissioner and retired Police Captain Anthony Romano as “a great family man, a great police officer and a great friend.”  Mayor Ravi Bhalla stated, “I am saddened to have learned the tragic news of Hoboken Police Department Detective Mario Novo.  My deepest condolences are with his family and friends during this difficult time.  Municipal flags have been lowered to half staff in his honor.”
