As part of February being Career and Technical Education Month, students enrolled in the Hudson County Schools of Technology’s Design and Fabrication Academy at High Tech High School’s Frank J. Gargiulo campus in Secaucus, learned about the numerous medical engineering careers they could enter post graduation during a special assembly presentation.
The students heard from Robert Cohen, the President of Digital Robotics and Enabling Technology at Stryker, the leading medical technologies company worldwide during a 75 minute assembly presentation on Friday. Cohen also serves as Chairman of the NJIT Board of Trustees.

The assembly was part of the Hudson County Schools of Technology’s commitment to provide its student body with professional information through school-based visits, hands on internships and employment opportunities via partnerships with companies such as Stryker, giving them a jumpstart on their college or professional careers, because nothing can replace the education students receive through experiences in real world settings.
Approximately 350 students are enrolled in the DeFab Academy.
