HTHS eSports Club Honored By Secaucus Council for State & National Titles

On Tuesday night, the Secaucus Town Council honored the achievements of the eSports Club at High Tech High School.  The club was created a few years ago by the dedicated eSports enthusiasts who attend the school.  The club took home numerous awards at the county, state and national levels in recent weeks under the guidance of coach Jared Krinsky.

The club finished in first, seventh and fourteenth place at the National Finals of the Intel Electronic Gaming Federation competition.   Prior to that, the High Tech team swept the competition at the Helix eSports County Championship in May and won the State Championship in two categories at Garden State eSports (GSE) in mid-June.

High Tech won the nationals for Super Smash Brothers.

Congratulations to the High Tech High School eSports Club for its success, not only in winning at the national level, but for taking the initiative to create their club.
