Five inducted into Hudson Chamber Legends Hall of Fame; gala Dec. 10 at Hudson House

JERSEY CITY, N.J. \u2014 The Hudson County Chamber of Commerce will induct five businesses and individuals into its Legends Hall of Fame on Dec. 10, the chamber announced Sept. 22.

The Legends Award is the chamber\u2019s top honor. This year\u2019s class:

Newport Associates Development Company \u2014 Iconic Leadership Award

Newport Associates Development Company \u2014 the LeFrak and Simon partnership that turned a roughly 600-acre abandoned rail yard along the Hudson River into Jersey City\u2019s Newport community \u2014 will receive the Iconic Leadership Award for transformational change. The chamber notes 2026 marks 40 years for Newport.

Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union \u2014 Corporate Citizenship Award

Liberty Savings Federal Credit Union, with CEO Maria Solorzano and now in its 75th year, will receive the Corporate Citizenship Award for corporate social responsibility, volunteer engagement, and leadership.

Red Bull New York \u2014 Public Service Award

Red Bull New York, Hudson County\u2019s hometown Major League Soccer organization (the New York Red Bulls), will receive the Public Service Award. The chamber cited the club\u2019s community investments, including youth academy systems.

Tom Parisi \u2014 Daryl Harrison Rand Leadership Award

Tom Parisi, the Jersey City small-business owner and hospitality figure known as \u201cTommy 2 Scoops,\u201d will receive the Daryl Harrison Rand Leadership Award for volunteerism.

Dan Bowens \u2014 Special Recognition

Dan Bowens, a nine-time Emmy-winning FOX 5 New York anchor and co-host of Good Day New York, with local roots in Jersey City and Weehawken, will receive a Special Recognition.

The Hudson County Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1888 and merged with the Hoboken Chamber in 2018.
