Hudson County Prosecutor’s Collision Unit Continues Investigation Into Sunday’s Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash

As Hudson TV first reported on Sunday, a vehicular crash in Jersey City took the life of a driver.  Now Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has updated the information on the accident.

She reports that the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are continuing to investigate a fatal crash that occurred on Garfield Avenue on Sunday, May 28.

Suarez says, “At approximately 11:58 a.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a multi-vehicle collision in the area of Garfield Avenue and Wegman Parkway.  Upon arrival, responding officers located multiple damaged vehicles and the lifeless body of a female driver.  Desiree Milow, 36, of Jersey City, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:26 p.m.  Six vehicles were damaged in the collision.  Five additional individuals were transported to Jersey City Medical Center to be treated for injuries.”

According to the Prosecutor, the preliminary investigation found Milow’s Chevy Tahoe collided with multiple vehicles along Garfield Avenue between Danforth Avenue and Wegman Parkway before coming to a final stop.  The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating this case.
