AccuWeather is predicting northeastern New Jersey, including Hudson, Bergen, Essex, Passaic and Union Counties, will be spared severe remnants of Hurricane Ian over the weekend.
Four inches of rain, coastal flooding and wind gusts of up to 40 mph are all anticipated for the southern part of the state from Monmouth County south to Cape May beginning overnight tonight into Saturday, but Hudson County should miss the heavy downpours, getting only light rain according to forecasts.
As of this morning, half of New Jersey is under a hazardous weather outlook beginning tonight. The affected counties are:
- Monmouth
- Gloucester
- Camden
- Burlington
- Atlantic
- Salem
- Ocean
- Cumberland
By mid-Monday the state’s rain should be over.
