Hudson County Spelling Bee Champ se reúne con el ejecutivo del condado

This week Hudson County Executive Craig Guy met with Hudson County’s 2024 Spelling Bee Champion Kavya Jakasania.  This is the second consecutive year the Jersey City eighth grader has won the spelling bee championship.

Kavya attends Frank R Conwell Middle School #4.  She will return to the Scripps National Spelling Bee to represent Hudson County.

              Hudson County Executive Craig Guy said in a statement, “It was an honor to meet Hudson County’s Champion, Kavya Jakasania, and to hear about how it feels to come out on top two years in a row. She is a wonderfully intelligent and charismatic individual who no doubt has a bright future ahead of her.  I wish her the very best at the Scripps National Spelling Bee, and I’m excited to welcome her upon her triumphant return.”

In addition to her championship trophy, Kavya received a citation from the County Executive’s Office.
