Hudson Towns Celebrate Night Out Against Crime

All across America municipalities celebrated community safety and police protection on Tuesday night…the National Night Out Against Crime.  Hudson TV attended two of Hudson County’s celebrations; one in West New York and the other in Union City.

In both municipalities, which drew thousands of residents, people mingled with their neighbors and local police officers.  They received valuable information from area vendors and were treated to free food and drinks.

Children spent time in bouncy houses, while everyone had a chance to participate in athletic activities.  The man purpose of the night, however, was to get to know local police and emphasize that if you see some thing unusual, you should should not hesitate.  Rather, you should contact your local police department immediately.

West New York’s Night Out celebration was held in Miller Park and Miller Stadium, while Union City held its observance along New York Avenue between 22nd and 27th Streets.
