A huge turnout for the first ever Guttenberg Farmers Market. The town would complete the goal of distributing all the food products by the bottom of the hour. The event would take place on 69th Street & Bergenline Avenue at 3 pm. The primary inspiration for the food drive was to give back to those in need for the community. Before the clock would even strike 4, everything was gone.
The township of Guttenberg had engaged in other forms of food distribution, however this would be the first time it was done in this format. Walking through 69th on Bergenline Avenue where the food was distributed, one thing was very clear. They had accomplished their goal in giving back to the town, as the street was filled with many smiles under the masks. I’m sure the residents of the town were very grateful, and credit should be given to town Mayor Wayne Zitt. Who is clearly striving to give back to his community in whatever ways possible…
