UPDATED: Increased COVID Testing Sites Announced In Bayonne

THE MUSEUM SCHEDULE REMAINS THE SAME.

With the number of positive COVID cases continuing to rise in New Jersey at record levels according to the state Department of Health, Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis has announced that, beginning today, Sunday, December 26, additional PCR testing is returning to Ahern Veterans Stadium behind Bayonne High School.

Testing will resume this morning at 9:00 a.m. and continue through 5:00 p.m. this afternoon.  Testing will also take place, with no appointment necessary, Monday through Thursday during the same hours.  No testing will take place on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day.

PCR testing, with no appointment necessary, is also available at the Bayonne Museum, located at 229 Broadway on Sundays, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

According to the Bayonne Health Department, as of December 23, there are 222 residents who are currently COVID-19 positive.  Ten Bayonne residents are currently receiving treatment at the Bayonne Medical Center.
