It Was Tigers vs. Tigers In Girls Volleyball In WNY On Wednesday

The Memorial High School Tigers girls volleyball squad faced the Snyder High School Tigers in a Hudson County Tournament, second round contest in West New York on Wednesday afternoon.

When all was said and done, fifth seeded Memorial advanced quite easily, defeating the number twelve seeded Snyder Tigers in straight games, 25-8 and 25-15.  The only lead Snyder held was in the second game of the match, at 4-0.  Memorial stormed back to take an 8-4 advantage and never looked back.   In the first game, Memorial stormed out to a 9-0 lead.

Memorial will now take on fourth seeded Bayonne High School in the next round of the County Tournament on Friday.   Memorial’s overall record now stands at 11 wins and 7 losses.

Wednesday’s victory kept Memorial’s hopes for an NJSIAA State Tournament invite alive.
