Jersey City Business Owner Charged With Sexually Assaulting a Child Under 13

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office arrest report says members of the Special Victims Unit arrested a Jersey City business owner on Sunday night, Sept. 27, 2026, on a warrant charging him with sexually assaulting a child under 13 and endangering the welfare of a child.

Luis A. Yaguana-Espinel, 37, of Jersey City (ZIP 07307), was taken into custody at about 9:39 p.m. at 315 Columbia Ave. (1st floor), Jersey City, according to the report. The warrant number listed is 0906-W-2026-003932. The prosecutor’s case number is 2026090721.

The report lists him as the owner of Luis A. Yaguana LLC, at 315 Columbia Ave., Jersey City. The report lists 315 Columbia Ave. as both the arrest location and the location of the alleged offense. The same address is listed for his business, Luis A. Yaguana LLC.

According to the arrest report, he faces:

  • Sexual assault — victim under 13 and defendant at least four years older (N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2B). The narrative describes the count as “Sexual Assault by Contact.”
  • Endangering the welfare of a child — sexual conduct with a child (N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4A(1)).

The report lists the offense date as Sept. 27, 2026, at 315 Columbia Ave., Jersey City.

The narrative states that “members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Luis A. Yaguana-Espinel pursuant to Warrant number 0906-W-2026-003932, charging him with one count of Sexual Assault by Contact (2C:14-2B) and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2C:24-4A(1)).” He was fingerprinted, photographed, and a DNA sample was collected at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, then transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility to await further court appearance, the report says. Jersey City police are listed as having read him his constitutional rights. The report is dated Sept. 27, 2026.

Charges are accusations; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
