Jersey City’s new Public Safety Headquarters officially opens tomorrow, Tuesday, April 11. According to city officials, it will streamline services and boost the public’s safety. It is located at 358 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
An advisory from city spokesperson Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione states Mayor Steven Fulop Reimagines Public Safety with Jersey City’s First Public-facing Police & Fire Headquarters.
Tuesday’s event gets underway at 11 am. Mayor Fulop, Public Safety officials, and community members will officially be on hand to open the highly anticipated Public Safety Headquarters, centralizing emergency services and resources for the first time in Jersey City’s history for more efficient and effective law enforcement operations.
The Public Safety Headquarters is the fourth and final building to complete the Jackson Square City Hall Annex.
