Jersey City man arrested for numerous CDS Offenses and trespassing in Hoboken

Arrestee: Pedro Soto 57 y/o Male from Jersey City, NJ

Arrest Date and Time: 10/06/20 at about 6:16 PM

Offenses: Possession of CDS/Crack Cocaine, Possession of CDS/Heroin, Possession of CDS/Marijuana, Possession of Prescription Legend Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Needle and Syringe, Failure to Turn Over CDS, Hindering Apprehension, Tampering With Physical Evidence, and Defiant Trespassing

Officers Involved: Detective Michael Losurdo and P.O. Ryan Houghton

Incident Detail: On 10/06/20, Detective Michael Losurdo and Officer Ryan Houghton were in uniform and patrolling the Hoboken Housing Authority. At about 6:07 PM, they were alerted to a possible trespasser inside 311 Harrison Street. Detective Michael Losurdo and Officer Ryan Houghton entered the building and located a male sitting in the second floor stairwell.  The male suspect was identified as Pedro Soto 57 y/o Male from Jersey City, NJ. Upon coming in contact with Pedro, Detective Michael Losurdo observed a glass pipe with a white substance in Pedro’s right hand. The officers believed Pedro was in possession of a drug paraphernalia and suspect crack cocaine. As Pedro was being placed under arrest, Pedro threw the glass pipe to the ground causing it to shatter. Pedro was placed in handcuffs with no further incidents. Pedro was searched incident to his arrest and he was found to be in possession of suspect Heroin, suspect Marijuana, suspect prescription legend drug, hypodermic needle and syringe, and additional drug paraphernalia. Pedro was transported to police headquarters and charged with the following: Possession of CDS/Crack Cocaine, Possession of CDS/Heroin, Possession of CDS/Marijuana, Possession of Prescription Legend Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hypodermic Needle and Syringe, Failure to Turn Over CDS, Hindering Apprehension, Tampering With Physical Evidence, and Defiant Trespassing. All charges were placed on a warrant and Pedro was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

Defendant is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
