Jersey City Man Arrested for Shoplifting in Hoboken was Wanted by LA County Sheriffs for Robbery

Arrestee: Anthony Crossin 30 y/o Male from Jersey City, NJ

Arrest Date and Time: 09/14/20 at 9:23 AM

Offense: Fugitive from Justice, Shoplifting, Hindering Apprehension, and Possession of Hypodermic Syringe

Officer Involved: Officer Ramon Calderon, Officer Anthony Olivera, and Officer Frank Francolino

Incident Detail: On 09/14/20, at about 9:23 AM, Officer Ramon Calderon was at 101 Washington Street (Walgreens) gathering information from the above listed arrest. As he was gathering information, an employee of Walgreens alerted Officer Calderon of a shoplifting in progress. Officer Calderon stopped the accused suspect for investigation. Officer Calderon notified dispatch of a second shoplifting incident and Officer Anthony Olivera and Officer Frank Francolino responded as backup. The suspect was identified as Anthony Crossin 30 y/o Male from Jersey City, NJ. Investigation led to arresting and charging Crossin with Shoplifting. Crossin was searched and was found to be in possession of a Hypodermic Syringe. Crossin was transported to headquarters for processing and charged with Shoplifting, Hindering Apprehension, and Possession of Hypodermic Syringe. At headquarters, it was discovered that Crossin was wanted by Los Angeles County Sheriffs out of California for Robbery. As a result of said warrant, Crossin was additionally charged with Fugitive from Justice. Crossin also had a warrant out of Harrison NJ. All of Crossin’s charges were placed on warrants and he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
