Jersey City Police Searching For Missing Senior Citizen

A 77-year old man with dementia is missing according to the Jersey City Police Department.  Police say Ramon Contreras was last spotted on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 around 4 p.m. near 123 Erie Street in downtown Jersey City.

Contreras is described as Hispanic, dark-skinned, 5-feet-4-inches, 150 pounds, and was wearing a dark blue hat, red t-shirt, brown pants, and blue shoes.

This is not the first time Contreras has gone missing according to police.  In the past, Contreras was found in the South District near Armstrong Avenue.
