Kayaking Comes to North Bergen’s Braddock Park Lake

There’s a new sporting activity for residents to enjoy at Woodcliff lake in North Bergen’s James Braddock County Park.  Kayaking.

Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise and County Commission Chairman Anthony Vainieri made the announcement.  Walk-up rentals are available by the hour for anyone aged 12 and older next to the lake house.
All rentals include basic instruction for beginners. PFDs (personal floatation devices), comfortable backrest seats and paddles are provided. The cost is $20 for a single kayak, $30 for a double kayak or for kayaking with your dog.  Children aged 4 and older may paddle with an adult.  There is a 300 lbs. maximum capacity.  AA Pre-book at kayakinthepark.com.
A county press release says owner and operator Kevin Murray is a North Bergen High School graduate who is bringing jobs to local students.
