North Bergen Mayoral Candidate Larry Wainstein has introduced his running mates for the upcoming Municipal Election in a move that aims to put North Bergen first. Wainstein’s Good Government Team is comprised of Lucy Rodriguez, Tony Parrales, Alcides Siri, and Franklin Fabre, all of whom bring unique perspectives and experiences to the table.
The team has officially filed their nominating petition and are gearing up for a spirited campaign that will focus on the issues that are important to the community. Wainstein spoke highly of his team, highlighting their commitment to putting North Bergen first and working to make the area an even better place to live and raise a family.
Wainstein is a successful small business owner and community advocate who seeks to become the first Hispanic Mayor in the history of North Bergen. His parents, Enrique and Maria, immigrated to the United States from South America with Larry’s older brother Adrian. Enrique worked in a warehouse while Maria sold books door-to-door before opening a small bodega. Larry worked hard at a young age to pay his way through college, eventually graduating from Saint Peter’s University.
Lucy Rodriguez, who seeks to become the first female Hispanic Commissioner in the history of North Bergen, is a Social Worker who has spent her entire adult life helping others. She has worked for the North Hudson Community Action Program as a Family Advocate and currently serves as a Family Support Specialist with Catholic Charities. Rodriguez is a devoted and proud parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church and volunteers in various ways to assist the people of North Bergen.
Tony Parrales immigrated to the United States from Ecuador when he was 10 years old. He worked in the transportation industry for 20 years and was a member of Teamsters Local 560, where he served as Shop Steward for 8 years. Parrales studied Christian Ministry and Theology and is inspired by his love for his wife, six children, five grandchildren, and his neighbors to pursue public service.
Alcides Siri is a mechanic by trade and worked for the Ford Motor Company before opening and operating a small business in the transportation industry. Siri moved to North Bergen over 30 years ago with his wife, Gladys, and raised their two children. Siri credits his grandparents, Giuseppe and Rosa, who immigrated from Italy, for encouraging him to pursue his dreams. He aims to improve senior services and help increase emergency service personnel to improve response times.
Franklin Fabre was born in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States, where he earned his MBA from NJIT and became an expert in the financial field. As a small business owner, Fabre assists with income tax preparation and has offered his services pro bono to low-income families, single mothers, and senior citizens. His public service will focus on increasing economic development and creating more jobs for North Bergen residents.
The Good Government Team’s campaign promises to prioritize the needs of the North Bergen community, from increasing economic development to improving emergency services and senior care. The Municipal Election will take place on Tuesday, May 9th, and Larry Wainstein and his running mates are ready to fight for the future of North Bergen.
