Se ha programado una reunión para discutir el ruido de helicópteros en Hoboken y Jersey City

For years, residents and politicians have complained about the noise coming from the sky over Hoboken and Jersey City.  It is a constant occurrence, and frankly, a disruption to the quality of life of residents who live near the Hudson River and New York Harbor.

The source of the noise are helicopters, mostly tourist helicopters that fly around giving tourists, mostly tourists, spectacular views of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and yes, even New Jersey.  There are so many of these businesses it has become a constant source of disruption to the daily lives of those who live along the Gold Coast, a.k.a., Hoboken and Jersey City.

So, what can be done?  After all, it’s been years….and it seems the noise is growing, not lessening.

Well, tomorrow night is your chance to speak out, speak up and make your feelings known.  Hudson County Commissioner Yraida Aponte-Lipski of Jersey City is hosting a town hall meeting at 7 pm to allow residents, business owners and anyone with concerns about helicopter noise over Hudson County to make those concerns known.
