Motor Vehicle Stop in Bayonne Leads To Recovery of Stolen Firearm From Georgia

A 23-year old New York man has been arrested by Bayonne Police after a motor vehicle stop led to the recovery of a loaded firearm stolen in Georgia.  According to Police Captain Eric Amato, Justin J. Davis of O’Neill Avenue in Bayshore, was taken into custody at 2:32 on Monday afternoon by Bayonne Police following a motor vehicle stop in the area of Goldsborough Drive and Chosin Few Way.

Upon their investigation and questioning of Davis, police discovered a firearm, reportedly stolen out of the state of Georgia.  The firearm was loaded with hollow point bullets.

Davis has been charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of hollow point bullets.
