When residents of West New York and North Bergen go to the polls to cast their ballots in the May 9th Board of Commissioners elections, they will find brand new, electronic voting machines at their polling places.
In fact, moving forward, these new voting machines, the Express Vote XL, will be used in all elections taking place in Hudson County.
Throughout this week, the Hudson County Superintendent of Elections’ Office is conducting public, voting machine instruction sessions for residents so they know how to properly cast their ballots on Tuesday. Hudson TV stopped by one of West New York’s public housing buildings this morning to see the new machines and we asked mayoral candidate Cosmo Cirillo to explain how the new, voting machines work.
Additional instruction sessions will be taking place in West New York on the following dates and locations:
- TODAY UNTIL 3:30 PM, 515 54th Street
- May 3rd, 10 am until 3:30 pm at 430 62nd Street
- May 4th, 10 am until 3:30 pm at 5800 Jefferson Street
- May 4th, 10 am until 3:30 pm at Park View
