34-year old Matthew LaPlant of Franklin Drive in Bath, New Hampshire has been arrested for narcotics possession and assaulting several Bayonne Police Officers.
According to Police Captain Eric Amato, LaPlant was taken into custody at 11:19 on Saturday morning from the area of Walmart for narcotics violations. During the arrest process, LaPlant resisted arrest by refusing to be handcuffed. He also assaulted officers by kicking them and pushing them in an attempt to flee the scene.
He has been charged with resisting arrest, possession of heroin, a controlled dangerous substance, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and aggravated assault on law enforcement officers.
