The project is replacing existing underground infrastructure that is in poor condition to ensure reliable service and prevent future disruptions.
Beginning today, Monday, January 13th, at approximately 5 p.m., Observer Highway will re-open in both directions, between Henderson and Madison Streets.
Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 14th, at approximately 8 a.m., westbound Newark Street will be closed between Adams and Jefferson Streets. Eastbound Newark Street will be closed between Madison and Jefferson Streets. These closures will be in effect 24/7 for the duration of the project, which is anticipated to last approximately six weeks.
