El desfile/caminata del Día de la Conmemoración más largo de NJ es mañana en Hoboken

Tomorrow morning, Saturday, May 29, Hoboken will hold the longest, continuous Memorial Day parade in the State of New Jersey.  For 137 years, the Mile Square City has honored the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting to maintain our freedom.

The procession will head up Washington Street with the Memorial Walk kicking off at 10:30am. The walk will start at City Hall (1st & Washington) and conclude at the Hoboken Elks Lodge located at 11th & Washington Streets.

In her recent newsletter, Hoboken’s 2nd Ward Councilwoman Tiffanie Fisher stated, “For those unaware, Hoboken has one of the oldest American Legions in the NJ.  At over 101 years old, it provides housing for homeless veterans and brings together those in uniform who have served our country and our community.  If you want to know more about them, Hoboken Girl just published a great article including how you can help support them.  Click here to go to the Post 107 American Legion website – to give, and to see the smiling face of Hoboken’s beloved WWII veteran Vinny Wassman who passed away at 94 in 2019.”
