The North Bergen Board of Commissioners, joined by Hudson County Commission Chairman Anthony Vainieri and members of the North Bergen High School Choir, lit the township’s Christmas Tree this evening in James J. Braddock Park. Of course Santa Claus was on hand to help light the tree.
About one hundred local residents were on hand to take pictures with Santa, the tree and a friendly snowman.

Tomorrow, North Bergen will hold its annual Winterfest along Bergenline Avenue. The parade begins at 5 pm in front of the Bergenline Avenue Library and marches south, where games, rides and photos with Santa will be available from 85th to 76th Street. Performances by each of the township’s local school choruses will also take place.
