The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit has arrested 24-year-old, Henry Sunun Sutuj following an investigation into the sexual assault of a juvenile female.

According to Prosecutor Esther Suarez, Sutuj is charged with human trafficking, a crime of the first degree; two counts of promoting child prostitution, a crime of the first degree; engaging in prostitution with a minor, a crime of the second degree; four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a crime of the third degree; sexual assault, a crime of the second degree; and criminal sexual contact, a crime of the fourth degree.

Sutuj was arrested at his residence in North Bergen on Friday, April 26, 2024, with assistance by the North Bergen Police Department and the United States Marshals Service, New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

According to a press release from the Prosecutor’s Office, “On Saturday, April 20, 2024, the West New York Police Department was notified of a sexual assault involving a 13-year-old juvenile female. During the investigation, it was determined the juvenile victim recently met the defendant at a park in North Bergen. On Friday, April 19, 2024, Sunun Sutuj offered the juvenile money in exchange for sexual acts and arranged transportation for the juvenile to meet him at a North Bergen motel where he sexually assaulted her.”

The charges in this case are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
