North Bergen Superintendent of Schools Dr. George Solter has announced on the district’s website that students are now scheduled to return to in-classroom instruction on April 19. Dr. Solter writes, “Last month, I spoke about an outline for our return to in-person education. I would like to give you more information about our timeline. Our administrators, supervisors, directors, and support staff have returned to full time workdays on Monday, March 1st. We will be welcoming teachers and staff to teach from the classroom starting Monday, March 15th. At this time, we are planning for students to return on April 19th with details to be determined on the schedule for the hours and days in the near future.”
Parents were instructed to complete a survey by March 7, a week ago. The results of those surveys will determine the schedule for in-classroom instruction moving forward. Students were able to respond that wanted their child(ren) to remain on virtual learning if they so desired.
