According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit, the East Rutherford Police Department and the Secaucus Police Department, the Route 3 accident near Route 120 took place around 6:30.  It left one person dead.  Police have yet to release details of the fatal crash.

Traffic was backed up for hours on Route 3 into Secaucus as police conducted a thorough investigation.

Weather forecasters say Hudson County could be in for its first significant snowfall of the season overnight Thursday into Friday morning.
