Passaic Prosecutor Seeks Public’s Help After Unidentified Homicide Victim Shot 9 Times

SHOT 9 TIMES, UNIDENTIFIED HOMICIDE VICTIM BROUGHT TO ST. JOSEPH’S UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER IN PATERSON

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announce that at approximately 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021, members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that an unidentified male had been dropped off at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson by individuals in a private vehicle. The unidentified male was immediately rushed into the emergency room for treatment where it was determined that he had suffered 9 gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced deceased by hospital medical staff. The identity of the victim and the circumstances and location of the shooting are still under investigation.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
