On Saturday afternoon, members of the community gathered in protest for racial and social justice in North Bergen. Speakers for the event included former Congressional Candidate Hector Oseguera, Black Lives Matter representative Kason Little, and many more supporting the movement.
The event began at 12:00 pm on 79th Street and Bergenline Avenue, directly in front of James J. Braddock park entrance. Speakers and protesters were adamant on how the community is governed, and feel the injustice must stop now. Flags and posters flooded the street, followed by a number of chants in unison. Community Organizer James de los Santos was responsible for putting the rally together. Hudson TV’s Marcos Antelo covered the event.
