Recreational Marijuana Usage in New Jersey Easily Approved

All three of New Jersey’s public questions were approved at the polls tonight.  The question which drew the most interest, by all accounts, the recreational use of marijuana, was easily adopted by a two-to-one margin.  In Hudson County it passed overwhelmingly with 108,235 yes votes to 41,182 no votes.  Statewide, the tally was 67.3 percent to 32.7 percent.

The other two questions were also easily approved.  With 52 percent reporting, the question permitting veterans to receive a property tax deduction, was leading 76.5 percent of the vote.  The question allowing for a legislative redistricting change until census data is available, was ahead with 59.7 percent.  Both questions won overwhelmingly in Hudson County.
