It’s the first night of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, and Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli and the town Council is inviting the public to celebrate as the municipality lights the first candle of the menorah in Plaza Center at 5 pm.
Hanukkah reaffirms the ideals of Judaism and commemorates, in particular, the rededication of the Second Temple of Jerusalem by the lighting of candles on each day of the festival, which will conclude on Friday, December 15th.
