Secaucus Police Officers Resuscitate Man

Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller is praising three members of his Department for reviving a man who was not breathing on June 30, 2025.   Chief Miller says that at 3:47 p.m., the Police Department responded to Harmon Cove Towers after receiving a report of an unresponsive, 42-year-old male.  Upon arrival, Police Officer William Kosky found the victim was not breathing and was cold to the touch.  Officer Kosky immediately began Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). 

Chief Miller adds that Police Officer Emmanuel Mikros then arrived and began to use a bag valve mask to breathe for the victim.  Police Officer Matthew Kirvin also arrived and rotated with Police Officer Kosky in performing chest compressions.

A press release states that while performing CPR, the officers readied their Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The victim was “shocked” three times with the Automated External Defibrillator.  They continued with CPR until the arrival of Hudson Regional Hospital EMT’s.  Jersey City Medical Center Paramedics also arrive at the scene to assist.  A pulse was found shortly thereafter.  

The 52-year old victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by Hudson Regional Hospital EMT’s and Jersey City Medical Center Paramedics.  As of this morning, the victim remains in stable condition in the hospital.
