Secaucus Shooting Range Dispute: Patron and Employee Involved in Altercation, One Accused of Pointing Gun

Secaucus, NJ – On the evening of August 17, 2024, at approximately 9:14 PM, the Secaucus Police Department was dispatched to Long Shot, a popular bar located at 375 County Avenue, following reports of a heated dispute between a patron and an employee. The situation escalated when one of the involved parties allegedly pointed a firearm at the other.

Upon arrival, officers quickly secured the scene and initiated an investigation. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Jonathan Rojas from Jersey City, was taken into custody without further incident. Rojas faces serious charges including:

Aggravated Assault under statute 2C:12-1B(4)
Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose under 2C:39-4A(1)
Unjustifiable Display of a Handgun under 2C:58-4.4A(5)
