Five Burglaries, One Theft and One Criminal Mischief Reported in Bayonne on Tuesday

A rash of automobile burglaries and thefts hit the Peninsula City on Tuesday.  According to Captain Eric Amato, all of the incidents are under investigation and no arrests have been as of 2:23 this afternoon.

The incidents took place between 6:05 in the morning and continued through 2 o’clock in the afternoon.  They occurred on West 34th, West 27th, East 35th and West 53rd Streets.

In addition, one residence was broken into at 3:26 p.m. on Willow Street, and a report of criminal mischief on the 600 block of JFK Boulevard was reported at 6:39 p.m.

Captain Amato says a 2005, yellow Suzuki motorcycle was stolen at 10:43 on Tuesday night from 31st Street and Avenue A.

Police say it is unknown whether a weapon was used during any of these incidents.
