THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS NEW INFORMATION The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating a suspicious death of a 47-year-old man who was found deceased in his apartment Saturday morning.
According to Prosecutor Esther Suraez, the deceased was found in a Griffith Street apartment unit between Summit and Central Avenues in Jersey City.
On Saturday, May 8, 2021, just before 6 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to an unresponsive male in his apartment on Griffith Street. Responding officers found a lifeless male victim who was pronounced deceased at 6:01 a.m. Cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests have been made at this time.
