Bergenline Avenue between 85th and 76th Streets in North Bergen was hopping on Thursday night, as the popular Winterfest returned following a year off due to the pandemic. By my estimate, a few thousand people attended the event.
There were floats, Santa Claus, choirs from each of the township’s schools, a skating rink, and so much more for residents and families to enjoy.
Mayor Nicholas Sacco and the Board of Commissioners were on hand, as children enjoyed rides, food, music and each other. It was certainly a family atmosphere. The township has held Winterfest for nearly 30 years.
The NB Winterfest is always great community event. It exemplifies holiday cheer, family fun, and excellence in local governance.
