Tragic Overdose Incident at Skyview Motel: Two Dead, Three Hospitalized

Fort Lee, NJ – Two individuals are dead and three others hospitalized following a suspected overdose at the Skyview Motel on Bergen Boulevard. This incident, which occurred on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, is currently under investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fort Lee Police Department.

Responding to a medical call at approximately 1:41 p.m., officers from the Fort Lee Police Department discovered five individuals experiencing symptoms consistent with an overdose. Despite immediate medical assistance, including the use of Naloxone, two of the individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of their families.

The three other individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Details regarding their condition have not been disclosed.

This incident has brought the issue of drug overdoses into sharp focus in the region. Led by Chief Jason Love of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Chief Matthew Hintze of the Fort Lee Police Department, the investigation aims to uncover the details surrounding this tragic event.
