Union City Man Faces Charges for Aggravated Sexual Assault and Child Endangerment

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has announced the arrest of Cesar Ixcoy-Perez, a Union City resident, on serious charges involving aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. This arrest is the culmination of a collaborative investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fairview Police Department.

On December 4, 2023, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office reached out to their Bergen County counterparts regarding an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile within Bergen County. The ensuing investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, alongside the Fairview Police Department, uncovered that Ixcoy-Perez had sexually assaulted a child in Fairview, NJ, on two separate occasions.

As a result of these findings, Ixcoy-Perez was apprehended in Paramus, NJ, on December 19, 2023. He faces two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Following his arrest, Ixcoy-Perez was detained at the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his initial court appearance in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella emphasized that these charges are accusations, and Ixcoy-Perez is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He also extended his gratitude to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and the Fairview Police Department for their significant contributions to the investigation.
