UNION CITY OFFERS GRANTS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

(UNION CITY, NEW JERSEY) – Mayor Brian P. Stack in conjunction with Hudson County announces the Hudson County Small Business COVID-19 Relief Program. The grant program, which starts today and runs through August 14th, was established to aid small businesses in Union City that suffered an interruption of services due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is vital that small businesses remain open and prospering in our community,” said Mayor Brian P. Stack. “The pandemic had such a tremendous impact on the businesses, but especially small businesses. Small businesses are part of the fabric of our community and provide necessary and meaningful services to residents as well as providing an economic benefit to the city. It is my commitment to do everything I can to support them during this time when the closures were no fault of their own. I am hopeful that this grant program will be a lifeline for our small business community.”

The grant program will offer up to $20,000 to cover eligible expenses incurred or anticipated from March 15, 2020 through August 31, 2020. Applications for the grant program will be accepted from August 3, 2020 through August 14, 2020. To apply, please visit www.hudsoncountynj.org or call 201-348-5731.
