Union City Mayor Brian Stack, the Board of Commissioners and Hudson County Commissioner Fanny Cedeno sponsored a job fair at Union City High School on Wednesday night.
The city usually holds two job fairs a year, one in the spring and the second in the fall.

Wednesday’s fair was not as well attended as previous events, which may indicate that less people are searching for employment according to Commissioner Cedeno. Cedeno says previous job fairs have attracted between 800 and 900 job seekers.

The event, which lasted for three hours, featured 40 companies in various fields of employment, including hospitality, law enforcement, health care and food services.
