Virtual Hoboken Community Meeting Monday on Proposed Redevelopment of 38 Jackson Street

A community meeting regarding a proposed redevelopment at 38 Jackson Street (all of Block 6, bound by Newark Street, Observer Highway, Jackson Street, and Harrison Street) will be held on Monday, June 28 at 6:30 PM.  The Project Architect and members of the Development Team will present the project and answer questions from members of the public.  No action will be taken by the Governing Body.  All interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the community meeting via virtual Zoom at the following link: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_M4jO44yLTAeuGh5ws5607w

The proposed redevelopment would feature the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the R.B. Davis Company factory (“Chambord”) building that faces Southwest Resiliency Park along Observer Highway, and proposes to include: a 25,000 square foot supermarket commercial space for the portion along Newark Street, more than 21,000 square feet of additional ground floor retail and restaurant space, a publicly-accessible interior courtyard, surplus/public parking spaces, more than 50,000 square feet of commercial and office space above the parking structure, and 123 condominium residential units including 12 affordable housing units.
