Park Avenue was packed with residents in front of Weehawken Town Hall on Sunday night, as the municipality held its annual, Christmas tree lighting. It was an evening filled with joy and music provided by township students.
Musical performances were provided by the Weehawken High School Marching Band, local elementary school choirs and the High School chorus.
It was a night for residents to come together and celebrate their hometown; to be thankful for the gifts of freedom, good health and friendship. Mayor Richard Turner and the Township Council wished all those residents in attendance a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukah and a Happy Kwanza…plus good health in the New Year.
