Superintendente de Escuelas Weehawken: Se pospusieron todos los eventos y asambleas de distrito de marzo

Mr. Eric Crespo

Superintendent of Schools

March 12, 2020

Dear Weehawken Families,

We are working closely with the Township of Weehawken, departments of health, our neighboring districts and Department of Education to monitor the current Covid19 situation, which is changing on an hour by hour basis. As of right now, there are no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in our school system and school is open as regularly scheduled.

We have been working on a plan for possible school closures and online (virtual) learning. Students and parents are encouraged to visit our District website often for updates. All virtual learning will be coordinated through links on our district website. More information is forthcoming.

We encourage all parents to make arrangements in the event of a school closure. If school closes, all after school events will be canceled or postponed.

Today, we have decided to postpone all March District events and assemblies.

The following events will be postponed or viewable online:

National History Day (will be done online)

March 19th TRS Art Show (will be done online)

March PreK Registration (postponed)

WHS Annual Spring Musical (postponed)

All  March Field Trips (postponed)

PTO/PTA Meetings (postponed)

Taste of Roosevelt (postponed)

Title I Parent Night (will be done online)

TRS Famous People in History Day (will be done online)

All Band Events

For an event not listed in this letter, please contact your building principal.

Further, we are asking that all parent conferences be held via phone and not in person or in the building.

Thank you for your cooperation during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Eric Crespo
