Will Bayonne OK 8-Story Residential Tower on Broadway?

211-217broadway

The Bayonne Planning Board is scheduled to consider a site plan proposal on Tuesday, December 10th for a 49-unit, residential tower on southern Broadway adjacent to Route 440.

Proposed for 211-217 Broadway, the building would include a fitness center and game room, plus a deck on the roof. Prices for individual units are not known at this time.

The property, currently a vacant lot owned by 211-217 Broadway, LLC, was formerly the site of a one story, dental office. That building was torn down a few years ago.

The developer’s proposal calls for a garage with one parking space for each of the 49 apartment units. It is located within walking distance of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s 8th Street station.

Tuesday’s Planning Board meeting gets underway at 6 pm at City Hall. If approved, the building would be one of the talleat in the immediate neighborhood.

I hope it will be affordable housing so the middle class can afford to live also. Rents have been out of control pretty soon the middle class will be living on the streets and no one will give a shit. Money talks and good old bs walks.

This is the first time I’m posting my opinion.

Of course they will. They approved a 22 floor building 2 blocks from there!
